Not-for-profit organizations benefit from a range of intellectual property services provided by Benesch's Not-for-Profit Team. These services range from general intellectual property counseling to protection of the organization's intellectual property (whether patent, trademark or copyright) to enforcement of the organization's intellectual property (whether through litigation or otherwise). We counsel our not-for-profit clients in determining when and where to seek patent and trademark protection, as well as on whether and how to maintain existing intellectual property rights. We also provide training and guidance to our not-for-profit clients on basic intellectual property law and help them to develop both internal and external policies to ensure that their intellectual property remains protected. Finally, the Not-for-Profit Team assists with any intellectual property-related transactions and agreements (e.g., licensing and assignment transactions and agreements).
