A number of our clients in the manufacturing industry are regular buyers and sellers of businesses in the U.S. and abroad, and are counseled by our corporate and securities lawyers. We advise clients on the legal and business issues involved with raising capital through equity and debt offerings and facilities. We support clients in their commercial contacting practices, developing forms and negotiating contracts with suppliers, distributors and end-customers for local, national and international transactions. We collaborate with our clients in the management and maximization of the value of intellectual property (IP) through transactions that involve IP of all types and we have defended our clients’ IP rights in courts around the country. In addition, we provide advice in critical complementary areas such as antitrust compliance and tax planning.
We assist our clients in meeting their needs in the full range of labor and employment practices matters, including both counseling and litigation, and we also assist our clients in the design and administration of benefit, health and welfare plans. Our litigators have extensive experience in complex matters, having tried hundreds of cases at all levels of state and federal courts and in commercial arbitrations around the country. We offer our clients the services of practices focused on specific litigation concerns, including commercial and business disputes involving contractual issues, business torts, trade practices and regulation disputes, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, torts and product liability. In practice areas such as products liability and mass torts, we serve as national coordinating counsel for a number of our manufacturing clients, and provide related broad-based risk management and regulatory counsel, such as before the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission.
