Benesch is pleased to announce that Rachel Winder has joined the firm’s Public Law Practice Group as government relations manager. She will be based in the firm’s Columbus office.
Ms. Winder has over 20 years’ experience with the executive and legislative branches of Ohio government. Most recently, Ms. Winder directed state government relations on behalf of a telecommunications company, She is and has been a staunch advocate on behalf of both her public and private sector clients throughout her career. She has received excellent results for her clients including legislative and regulatory solutions resulting in millions of dollars to benefit multiple Fortune 500 corporations. She also successfully advocated for major statutory reforms on behalf of a statewide officeholder. Ms. Winder began her career as a legislative aide in the Ohio House of Representatives where she managed the office and the legislative agenda for the Chairman of the House Education Committee. She also supervised and coordinated the House Education Committee meetings. Later, she worked for Ohio Attorney General Betty Montgomery to advocate on issues ranging from criminal justice, consumer protection, taxes, education, health care and Medicaid fraud among others.
Ms. Winder received her B.A. from The Ohio State University in 1992. She currently resides in Powell.
