Benesch is pleased to announce that Richard A. Plewacki has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) for the seventh consecutive year. He will serve a one-year term, which began March 6th.
In addition to being one of only thirteen non-motor carrier representatives on the TCA’s Board of Directors, Mr. Plewacki is a member of TCA’s Shippers –Carriers Relations Committee as well as the organization’s Independent Contractor Policy & Practices Committee. He is also on the American Trucking Association’s Independent Contractor Task Force.
Mr. Plewacki has been involved with the transportation and logistics industry, both as a businessman and an attorney, for over 45 years. His practice focuses on advising and defending motor carriers, leasing companies, third party logistics providers, and large private fleets. Mr. Plewacki's experience includes independent contractor/owner-operator issues, shipper/carrier matters, industry specific litigation, transportation related service agreements, freight claims, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and regulatory compliance, intermodal issues, sales and use tax issues, and licensing and permitting.
TCA dedicates itself to representing the interests of truckload carriers. TCA members, along with hundreds of other leaders in the truckload carrier industry, work to ensure safe, high quality, reliable and efficient truckload transportation services.
