Mark Avsec and Lidia Mowad explore music copyright infringement from the early 90s to the present, with an emphasis on roots in Cleveland and the Sixth Circuit. In teaching music composition and sound recording infringement analysis, they will explain infringement from both the artistic and legal lenses. In combining these views, they will use historical and modern cases to demonstrate the challenges facing judges and offer ways to manage these types of cases which very well may appear on judges’ dockets.
