Benesch is pleased to announce that Managing Associate Thomas Jackson has been selected to participate in the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) 2024-2025 Leadership Academy. Now in its eighth year, this prestigious program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders in the legal community through comprehensive training and mentorship.
The CMBA Leadership Academy is a highly regarded 10-month program focused on leadership development, community engagement and professional networking. Participants gain valuable insights and guidance from some of Greater Cleveland’s most accomplished legal leaders. Selection for the program is based on demonstrated leadership abilities, professional achievements and a commitment to public service.
In his role at Benesch, Thomas represents employers in both state and federal courts and administrative agencies, handling complex litigation involving wage and hour class actions and discrimination claims under the ADEA, ADA, and Title VII, including issues of race, sex, religious discrimination and retaliation.
In addition to his legal practice, Thomas serves on the Board of Directors for the East Cleveland Neighborhood Center, a non-profit organization focused on emotional wellness and decreasing non-academic barriers to education. He has also been instrumental in advancing Benesch’s partnership with the Alfred A. Benesch School, a K-8 institution in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood. Since 2021, Benesch has partnered with the school to address critical needs and support students facing adversity, underscoring the firm’s dedication to effecting positive change.
Thomas is also an active member of the Norman S. Minor Bar Association, The National Black Lawyers, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
