Based in the firm’s San Francisco office, Katya represents private equity funds, venture capital funds and their portfolio companies, prominent financial institutions, and family offices in a wide range of complex business transactions. Her experience spans carve-out transactions, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, private and growth equity, venture capital, and minority equity investments. Throughout her career, she has represented high-profile clients in deals exceeding $1.6 billion in value, establishing herself as a trusted advisor to both public and private corporations.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail and ability to align legal strategies with broader business goals, Katya consistently drives intricate deals to successful outcomes. Her international background adds a unique and valuable perspective to her practice, which is highly regarded by her clients.

Prior to joining Benesch, Katya was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. She holds an LL.M. in Corporate Governance and Practice from Stanford Law School and a Specialist in Law (J.D. equivalent) with a specialization in International Private Law from Kutafin Moscow State Law University.
