As Benesch continues to add to its roster of top-notch legal talent, the firm is pleased to welcome Associate Connor Dopeso to the Litigation Practice Group in San Francisco.
In his career, Connor has distinctive experience as both a civil litigator and criminal prosecutor at the state level. He has tried a number of criminal cases to verdict and successfully defended clients in various civil litigation matters.
Before joining Benesch, Connor was an associate for an AM100 law firm working in the General Liability litigation practice group. While there, he gained extensive experience representing clients from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Connor handled a wide range of cases including professional liability, real estate, commercial litigation, construction defect, and products liability from the pre-litigation stage to resolution or trial. In this role, Connor worked to obtain consistently favorable results for his clients.
Prior to entering the private sector, Connor served as a Deputy District Attorney with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, where he garnered extensive courtroom experience. His responsibilities ranged from conducting evidentiary hearings and arguing motions, to preparing witnesses and experts for testimony and leading jury trials to verdict in state court. Beyond his courtroom prowess, Connor demonstrated proficiency in extensive and complex legal research, as well as skillful motion drafting.
Connor earned his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and his B.A. from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.
