Kathryn Gaydos presented, What is Subrogation, and Why Am I Waiving It? — A Primer on Waiver of Subrogation, Indemnity and Corresponding Insurance Provisions. Barry Guttman presented, Title Emergency! — Title Insurance Solutions for Your Difficult Retail Acquisition/Disposition Transactions. This workshop provided a practical guide for identifying and resolving thorny title issues that may be encountered in shopping center and retail store acquisitions and dispositions. Robert Ondak presented, Exclude This! — How Exclusive is My Exclusive? Can We Exclude Arguing Over Exclusives? The changing retail landscape is causing landlords and tenants to revisit the topic of exclusives more intensively than ever before. Landlords are demanding greater flexibility and tenants are demanding greater protection. The panelists discussed the concerns landlords and tenants would like to see addressed and proffered solutions to reconcile the differences.
