Benesch is pleased to announce that Partner Laura Hult has been selected as one of Columbus Business First’s Women of Influence honorees for 2024 in the Mentor category. Laura has been recognized for her active role in shaping the future of business and community leadership by providing invaluable guidance and support to the next generation, all while excelling in her own career.
The Women of Influence program recognizes women who significantly impact their organizations, contribute to the community through philanthropy and mentor the next generation of leaders. Honorees are recognized across six categories: Entrepreneurs, Trailblazers, Mentors, Nonprofit Leaders, Rising Stars and Community Champions.
In her role at Benesch, Laura focuses her practice on private equity, mezzanine lending, senior lending, and institutional and syndicated transactions. Her practice also includes sell-side and buy-side M&A, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, ESOP financings, equipment financing and other liquidity events.
Beyond her practice, Laura actively contributes to various industry organizations, serving as a Board Member and Diversity Committee Chair of the Columbus Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). She is also a Co-Founder of ACG's Women in Transactions Group and has played a pivotal role as the Founder of ACG's Emerging Leaders Organization. Additionally, Laura is a dedicated member of the American Bar Association's Business Law Section and Commercial Finance Committee. Her passion for community involvement is evidenced by her past roles as a Board Member of Action for Children and her contributions to the University of Michigan Private Equity Conference Advisory Committee. She has also been involved with the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys in the past.
Honorees will be recognized at a special awards celebration on July 23 from 4-7 p.m. at the Hilton Columbus Downtown's George Bellows Ballroom.
