Benesch is proud to announce that Executive Chairman and Partner Ira Kaplan of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA). In this role, Ira will contribute to the organization’s strategy, advocacy and planning.
The Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Its initiatives include enhancing basic services and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all. The DCA strives to elevate safety and cleanliness standards in the downtown core, aiming to improve both the reality and perception of safety.
As Executive Chairman of Benesch and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Ira focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions as well as public and private debt and equity financings. He also works extensively in the healthcare services sector, including dental service organizations (DSOs) and other healthcare services such as behavioral health, physician practice management, revenue cycle management, and home health companies.
Beyond his professional work, Ira is actively involved in various non-profit organizations and community initiatives. Among his many commitments, he serves as a Board and Executive Committee Member of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and the Mount Sinai Health Foundation, where he also holds the position of Board Chair. His extensive involvement in these and other organizations highlights his commitment to community service and civic engagement.
