Benesch, one of the fastest-growing firms on the AmLaw 200 list, is pleased to announce the addition of Erica S. Youngerman as Of Counsel in the Benesch Healthcare+ Practice Group in New York. Her addition coincides with the significant expansion of Benesch’s New York office, which has grown by an impressive 363% since its opening in June 2023 and now boasts 37 attorneys, many from leading BigLaw firms.

In her practice, Erica provides comprehensive counsel on transactional, regulatory, compliance and general corporate matters to healthcare provider entities and strategic and private equity investors in such entities, and she also represents them in acquisition and divestiture transactions.
Erica has a wide variety of healthcare sector clients, including physicians, physician and dental groups, laboratories, hospitals and health systems, veterinary practices, pharmacies, hospice agencies, home care companies, ancillary providers, and telemedicine and teledentistry organizations. Her experience includes directing healthcare regulatory and corporate diligence, conducting and coordinating analysis of healthcare regulatory compliance, drafting and negotiating transaction documents and providing healthcare regulatory, corporate and business guidance regarding existing and proposed operations, internal and third-party agreements, policies and procedures, licensure requirements, and provider enrollment.
Prior to joining Benesch, Erica was an associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. She earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Emory University. Erica has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in Healthcare Law (2020-2024).
