Benesch announced that Liz Gillmore has been hired for their newly developed position of Chief Human Resources Officer; Laura Dutt has been promoted to Chief Talent Officer and Mark Biddlestone has been named Director of Operations.
Ms. Gillmore joins Benesch from The Sherwin Williams Company where she was Global Corporate Human Resources Director. While in this position she was responsible for leading the integration strategy to support the acquisition of The Valspar Corporation including organizational design and strategy, change management, communications, systems integrations, value capture, policy alignment and employee engagement. “We are so fortunate to have Liz join our team. As we continue to grow, we need the appropriate management infrastructure to support the firm and Liz will be key to this,” said Gregg Eisenberg, Managing Partner. “Her vast experience in the Human Resources area is a great addition to our senior management team,” he added. Ms. Gillmore received her B.S. from The Ohio State University with a concentration in human resources.
Ms. Dutt started with Benesch in 2007 in a human resources role, and most recently has been managing the attorney recruiting and professional development efforts. As newly named Chief Talent Officer she will continue to oversee all legal recruiting for all offices and practice areas, as well as lead integration of laterals and professional development initiatives for the attorneys. She is a member of the firm’s hiring, associate development, diversity and women’s initiative committees. “We have had such unbelievable growth over the last three years and Laura has been integral to our success. She is a highly recognized professional in our industry and her contributions to the firm have been many,” said Eisenberg. Ms. Dutt received her B.A. in Political Science from John Carroll University and her Masters in Human Resources from Cleveland State University. She is a frequent speaker at legal recruiting and marketing conferences.
Mark Biddlestone, who has been with the firm for 13 years as Director of Operations will be responsible for all Benesch office space and facilities, office operations and central files and records. “Again, it’s important as the firm expands, that we have qualified senior managers who can handle the day-to day-operations. Mark will be doing just that by assisting all of our six offices,” said Eisenberg.
Since 2016, Benesch has added a Chicago office and 78 attorneys across multiple office locations, as well as grown every core practice group which include: Corporate, Litigation, Real Estate, Labor & Employment, Intellectual Property and Health Care.
