Benesch is pleased to announce that attorney Nancy R. Chawla and paralegal Martha P. Nikolaus have joined the firm.
Nancy R. Chawla is a staff attorney in Benesch’s General Practice Group. She has experience with auditing bank records to ensure compliance with bankruptcy laws and drafting various motions including motions in opposition of suppression of evidence and motions in opposition of judicial release. Nancy received her J.D. from The University of Akron School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2015 and her B.S. in Biology from the University of California Riverside in 2010.
Martha P. Nikolaus is a paralegal in Benesch’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group. She has a full range of experience with mergers, acquisitions and corporate recapitalizations, including document drafting, review and ancillary document organization. Martha also has extensive experience in state and securities research, audit request and response letters and entity formations/dissolutions. She is experienced in drafting and review of merger agreements, parent company guarantees, powers of attorney, corporate resolutions and secretary certificates. Martha received her J.D. from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2001 and her B.A. in Political Science from Baldwin-Wallace College, cum laude, in 1995.
