As Benesch continues to add to its deep bench of top-notch legal talent, the firm is pleased to announce that Cristina Almendarez has joined the firm.
Cristina joins the IP Litigation Practice Group as an associate, focused on IP litigation including patent, trademark, and copyright matters.
Cristina’s patent litigation experience covers a wide range of technologies, products and industries, including biologic and pharmaceutical drugs, mobile apps, medical devices, as well as automotive parts, consumer goods, and food processing and packaging machinery. In addition to advising client in patent matters, Cristina has represented and advised several clients in federal litigation for trade dress infringement, false advertising, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, and breach of contract matters.
“Cristina is a strong addition to our team. She is a versatile litigator who understands the business needs and objectives that underlie IP issues,” said Kal Shah, Chair of Benesch’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group.
Cristina received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. from Yale University. Prior to law school, she also completed the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies’s 10-month program in Yokohama.
