As Benesch continues to add to its roster of top-notch legal talent, the firm is pleased to welcome Associate Robert Pleines Jr. to the Litigation Practice Group in Cleveland.
Robert focuses his practice on civil litigation and has experience in handling more than forty active civil cases involving motor carrier accidents, premises liability, and school district immunity.
Robert has advised and represented motor carriers in personal injury and Carmack Amendment claims and has also drafted pleadings, discovery responses, substantive motions, trial briefs, and settlement agreements. Robert meets with clients and develops a trial strategy based on client needs and recommendations. He performs legal research and conducts factual inquiries in order to prepare memoranda in areas of environmental law, medical malpractice, workplace injury, and automobile accidents. Robert is a Captain in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and currently serves as a Logistics Officer. He is a commissioned officer with eight years of experience in collaborative project development and leadership-driven unit cohesion.
Robert received his J.D. from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and his B.A. from Ohio University.
