As Benesch continues to expand its national commercial litigation practice, the firm has announced the hiring of three attorneys in its Chicago office.
Benesch is pleased to welcome Partner Martin Sinclair, Of Counsel Timothy Frey, and Associate Hannah Stowe to its Litigation Practice Group.
“Clients increasingly look to us to handle complex business disputes with sophistication,” said Gregg Eisenberg, Managing Partner and Executive Committee Member. “Building on our capacity to deliver quality work in this area is a top priority for the firm. Martin, Tim, and Hannah are outstanding additions to our growing bench of talent.”
Martin represents public and private companies and individuals in regulatory, administrative, antitrust, and transactional matters including advising on corporate governance, complex disputes in the mergers and acquisitions context, class action lawsuits, shareholder derivative litigation, fraudulent transfers, and commercial contracts. In addition, Martin has defended civil investigations and conducted internal investigations in anti-corruption, fraud, securities and related matters.
Martin maintains an active pro bono practice and serves currently as the Chair of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism and President of the Northern District of Illinois Court Historical Association.
Tim has over 10 years of complex commercial litigation experience. During that time, he has represented public and private companies, as well as individuals, in a wide array of litigation including products liability, class actions, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, data theft, employment disputes, and contested corporate restructurings. In addition, Tim has defended companies and individuals subject to civil and criminal investigations brought by the SEC, DOJ, and various state Attorneys General.
Hannah has experience representing public and private companies in state and federal courts. She has worked on a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, from construction contract disputes to intellectual property protection. Hannah has experience with all phases of litigation, including all stages of discovery and motion practice, as well as successfully representing clients at trial and through the appeal process.
Martin, Tim, and Hannah are three of over 20 new attorneys to join Benesch so far in 2021. Since making its debut on the AmLaw 200 list in 2016, Benesch has advanced 27 places and is currently ranked at number 168.
