Patrick is an experienced dispute resolution litigator adept at building, working in, and leading high-functioning teams in a fast-paced environment. He has extensive experience collaborating with and advising in-house legal teams and business executives regarding a wide array of topics from routine disputes to high-stakes litigation in both federal and state courts. Patrick's diverse litigation practice has recently focused on defeating putative class actions, handling multi-district products liability lawsuits, and lawsuits under the False Claims Act (FCA).
Prior to attending law school, Patrick worked as a 6th grade English teacher in Kansas City, Missouri. He also started a nonprofit educational organization and worked in a county jail in Portland, Oregon. Patrick is an Eagle Scout and has volunteered for a variety of civic organizations, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Overture Council and the PAWS Chicago Professional Board. He maintains an active pro bono practice assisting prisoners with constitutional claims and students with disabilities seeking access to their Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).

- Represented middle market private equity firm in litigation stemming from a failed merger.*
- Integral part of the multi-jurisdiction defense, including a key jury trial, of a national retailer against tort and public nuisance and related industry claims asserted in In re: National Prescription Opiate Litigation, MDL No. 2804 and related opioid litigation.*
- Represented a Fortune 40 company in defense of federal and state False Claims Act claims relating to a public works technology contract funded by the Department of Homeland Security.*
- Represented Seaway Bancshares, Inc. in fraud and breach of fiduciary duty litigation that involved parallel bankruptcy litigation.*
