Meg counsels clients across industries, modes, and from end-to-end of the supply chain. She navigates the legal and business issues that affect transportation, supply chain, and international trade operations. In doing so, Meg represents retailers, technology companies, distributors, manufacturers, carriers, brokers, warehousemen, logistics providers, and more. Meg offers compliance counsel, contract drafting and negotiation, representation in mergers and acquisitions, and strategic business guidance.
Meg’s approach to compliance is pragmatic and action-oriented. She offers effective compliance counsel for businesses standing up operations, dealing with agency enforcement, or with day-to-day operational and strategic questions. Meg is experienced in navigating compliance issues related to customs, export controls, economic sanctions, hazardous materials, regulated commodities generally including foodstuffs, alcohol, and pharmaceuticals, and all modes of transportation and logistics services. Meg is trained in export controls and certified in hazardous materials compliance in ground transportation.
Meg drafts and negotiates contracts for businesses at all points in the supply chain. In doing so, she quickly identifies points of legal and operational risk and assists her clients to manage the same. Meg regularly manages Requests for Proposal processes for shippers and service providers. She also provides as-needed and ongoing transportation and supply chain contract review for shippers, retailers, and logistics service providers alike. She is experienced in drafting and negotiating transportation and logistics agreements and related software and technology agreements.
Meg also represents supply chain participants in mergers and acquisitions. She provides guidance on key points of risk in the transportation and logistics space and also offers expertise for buyers and sellers with international operations. She counsels clients on the transfer of ownership and post-close operations of motor carriers, brokers, warehouseman, forwarders, and other logistics service providers including as regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Maritime Commission. She is also experienced with navigating the transfer of ownership and post-close operations of companies with operations that are subject to trade controls regulated and enforced by the U.S. Departments of Treasury, Commerce, Homeland Security, and State.
Meg uses her wide visibility to the supply chain space to provide strategic business guidance to her clients. She offers high-impact risk assessments and solutions, supports clients standing up new operations including by assisting in the structure and papering up of operations, and supports clients to navigate sourcing and technology questions.

- Represented a Landlord for the lease of an entire six-story building (214,560 rentable square feet of premises) in Northbrook, Illinois, to the healthcare industry’s largest medical-surgical product manufacturer and supply chain provider.
- Represented a private equity-back manufacturer of machine tools in its acquisition of a manufacturer of plastic injection molding & precision machined components for telecom equipment.
- Represented Yusen Logistics in its acquisition of Taylored Services, a multichannel third-party logistics fulfillment organization, from private equity firm Saybrook.
