Matt focuses his practice on representing clients in a wide range of complex commercial real estate transactions.
Matt has significant experience representing clients on standalone and portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, along with related borrower-side financing and refinancing, across a variety of asset classes. His experience includes work in industries such as multifamily, hospitality, gaming and leisure, retail, office and industrial. He also has experience representing clients through joint venture structuring and formation, along with extensive real estate diligence in connection with corporate transactions.
Matt served most recently as a Real Estate Associate at Latham & Watkins LLP in Chicago. Previously, he graduated cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Matt was a wide receiver on the Division I Lafayette College football team, where he double majored in government and law and philosophy.

Representative Experience
- Represented a shopping center REIT specializing in retail in its sale of an enclosed mall in West Virginia for $12.5 million.
- Represented a large private equity fund in connection with its acquisition of twenty-one retail/industrial properties in a more than $40 million NNN sale-leaseback portfolio transaction.
