He focuses his practice on all areas of Intellectual Property with an emphasis on strategic client counseling related to patents, trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights; global IP portfolio management; infringement, validity, and risk management; patentability, landscape, invalidity, freedom to operate, and non-infringement opinions; global patent, trademark, and copyright procurement and enforcement; licensing, acquisitions, and dispute resolution; due diligence and pre-litigation investigations; and patent litigation and post-grant review.
Eric has represented domestic and international clients in a variety of technologies, including implantable medical devices, stents, endoscopes, ureteroscopes, guidewires, stone removal systems, vascular access delivery systems, peripheral IV systems, obturators, prosthetics and implants, MEMS-based cardiovascular monitoring devices, orthopedic devices and minimally invasive implants, endoscopes, catheters, water-dispersible/water-soluble, sustainable materials, electrowetting displays, electronic book readers and mobile telecommunication devices, lightguide systems, display illumination, LED lighting technology and color mixing, automation control modules and programmable logic controllers, commercial and household cooking appliances and refrigerators, medical and security imaging systems, power systems, power generation and distribution, gas turbines, aircraft engines, wind energy systems, confectionery products, and sporting and camping/outdoor equipment.
