As a career generalist litigator, Devin applies his versatile skill set to meet the full scope of client needs across a wide range of practice areas, from commercial and real estate disputes, to administrative, constitutional, and appellate litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country. He adapts seamlessly to the differing legal landscapes and case dynamics his clients face by leveraging his broad substantive and procedural knowledge to craft persuasive narratives that advance their interests.
In particular, Devin has extensive experience practicing in New York state courts, including in contract and tort disputes in the Commercial Division of the New York County Supreme Court, Article 78 accelerated proceedings against State and City agencies, and appellate matters before the First Department and Court of Appeals. He has also litigated several disputes involving trade secrets and non-competition agreements, cross-border legal issues, and common law and securities fraud.
Devin maintains an active pro bono practice. Fluent in Spanish, he has assisted Spanish-speaking asylum seekers with interviews and filings, drafted memoranda for potential Article 78 and constitutional challenges regarding the treatment of migrants in New York, and litigated an action to recover unpaid wages under the City's “Freelance Isn’t Free Act.”
