Dave is a commercial litigator who supports clients ranging from small family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Whether in state court, federal court, or private arbitration, he understands the importance of resolving matters to meet clients’ business needs while approaching every case with trial in mind.
Dave has experience with supporting litigation at all stages, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, preparing discovery and resolving discovery disputes, and developing matters for trial. Recently, he was part of the trial team for a two-week arbitration and substantively contributed to strategic and evidentiary issues presented in the case. Dave’s experience encompasses areas of law including consumer suits under the TCPA, TILA, and FCRA and affiliated regulations, commercial contract and lease disputes, and corporate insurance recovery. He has also worked with clients to proactively address regulatory concerns and stave off potential litigation and enforcement actions.
Prior to joining Benesch, Dave externed for the Hon. Benita Y. Pearson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and defended clients in defamation matters as a licensed legal intern at the Dr. Frank Stanton First Amendment Clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
