Amelia assists private equity investors, publicly traded companies and privately held businesses with mergers, acquisitions, private equity transactions and reorganizations. She also drafts a wide variety of transaction-related documents.
She has served on client teams handling stock and asset purchases and divestitures, financings including capital-raises, and other commercial transactions. Additionally, she regularly engages in contract review and prepares corporate governance documentation.
Having worked on numerous high-volume deals across industries, Amelia brings insights into the challenges that may arise, strategies to manage the risks, and creativity in devising workable solutions. Clients and colleagues appreciate her attention to detail, meticulous work, responsiveness and clarity.
Before joining Benesch, Amelia worked as an M&A tax associate where she gained experience in buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence for wide-ranging clients and assisted in client reorganizations. She leverages that experience and insight when assessing, advises on and drafting deal terms.

- Represented Alpine Investors and its portfolio company Ascend, a provider of practice management services to accounting businesses, in an add-on acquisition.
- Represented NWN Corporation in its acquisition of Leverage Information Systems, Inc., a company engaged in technology-based hybrid IT business solutions.
- Represented a private equity buyer in its acquisition of a wholesale distributor of pipes, valves, and fittings for an enterprise value of $190,000,000.00.
- Represented Blue Marlin Partners in acquiring a stake in Mo' Bettahs, a Hawaiian-Style Barbecue restaurant chain.
- Represented the Buyer in its acquisition of a company engaged in the sale and servicing of first responder vehicles.
