She has experience managing all phases of litigation, including trial and arbitration. As a true generalist, Alyssa can litigate disputes involving nearly any set of facts.
Alyssa’s commercial litigation experience is broad. It ranges from breach of contract actions and trade-secret claims to complex unfair competition and corporate disputes. But Alyssa also sub-specializes in real-estate and products liability litigation. She has represented commercial clients in landlord/tenant, leasing, and related disputes, including defending against fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and contract claims, both pre- and post-litigation. Alyssa also advises clients on lease and other related negotiations. Moreover, her products-liability experience is broad and includes defending against claims that clients’ products were defectively designed or unreasonably dangerous in the off-road vehicle, automotive, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. She also has experience advising clients in connection with drafting and preparing warnings to accompany their products.
Alyssa is also very involved in associate development and mentoring. As the Co-Chair of the Hiring Committee, she plays a lead role in recruiting, mentoring, and integrating associates as part of Benesch’s Summer Program. Alyssa believes it is critical to build the future of Benesch with bright talent and strong culture.
