Alyssa has significant experience in commercial litigation, including in the areas of energy, class action, products liability, trade secrets, unfair competition, and multi-district litigation, both on the plaintiff and defense side and in various state and federal courts across the country.
Alyssa’s products-liability experience is broad and includes defending against claims that clients’ products were defectively designed or unreasonably dangerous in the off-road vehicle, automotive, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. She also has experience advising clients in connection with drafting and preparing warnings to accompany their products. With respect to her energy practice, Alyssa has experience defending against personal injury and property damage claims arising from natural gas explosions. She also regularly interprets and enforces clients’ rights under oil and gas leases, easements, rights-of-way, and condemnation actions. Finally, her commercial litigation experience ranges from breach of contract actions and trade-secret claims to complex unfair competition and corporate disputes.
Alyssa has significant hands-on experience managing all phases of litigation, including initial case intake and evaluation, discovery, preparing fact and expert witnesses, taking and defending fact and expert depositions, motions practice, arguing in open court, trial, and alternative dispute resolution.
